More Than a Cookout - A Day Built to Leave a Legacy

Legacy Lounge is bringing families, young people, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders together for a meaningful day of food, swimming, entertainment, resources, and connection.

This is more than an end-of-summer celebration. It is an opportunity to show our youth and families that their community sees them, supports them, and believes in their future.

Why Legacy Lounge Is Doing This

Too many families are disconnected from the organizations, mentors, opportunities, and resources already available to help them.

Legacy Lounge wants to help close that gap.

We are creating a welcoming environment where families can enjoy themselves while also meeting people and organizations that can make a lasting difference in their lives. A child may come for the food, swimming, music, or games but leave having met a mentor, discovered a program, or learned about an opportunity they did not know existed.

Our purpose is to create joy, build relationships, connect people with resources, and remind every young person that their future matters.

What We Envision for the Day

With the help of sponsors and community partners, we are working to provide:

• Free food and refreshments

• Swimming and family pool activities

• Bouncy houses and children’s activities

• Face painting

• Music, performances, and live entertainment

• A family-friendly movie experience

• Games, contests, and interactive activities

• Local vendors and community organizations

• Nonprofit resource tables

• Mentors and positive community leaders

• Information about financial literacy, education, careers, entrepreneurship, wellness, and local support services

Some activities remain dependent upon sponsorships, donations, equipment, services, and community participation. If you can provide an attraction, activity, service, or idea that is not listed, we would still love to hear from you.

Fun With a Greater Purpose

We want children and families to have an unforgettable day but the fun is also a bridge to something greater.

By inviting nonprofits, educators, financial professionals, mentors, entrepreneurs, and community organizations to participate, we can introduce young people to resources that may help shape their futures.

We are looking for organizations and individuals who can speak with youth and families about subjects such as:

• Financial literacy and responsible money management

• College, trade schools, and continuing education

• Employment and career development

• Entrepreneurship and business ownership

• Health, wellness, and family resources

• Mentorship and youth development

• Community programs and support services

We want these conversations to feel welcoming, practical, and encouraging not like a lecture. Our goal is to make valuable information accessible while families are already gathered in a positive environment.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Every contribution helps us create a safe, organized, entertaining, and welcoming experience for the community.

Sponsorships and financial contributions may help provide:

• Grills and cooking equipment

• Food, beverages, ice, and serving supplies

• Tents, tables, and chairs

• Entertainment and performers

• Bouncy houses and children’s attractions

• Face-painting and activity supplies

• Movie and audiovisual equipment

• Event equipment and power needs

• Safety, sanitation, and operational supplies

• Signage, printing, and community outreach

• Other expenses required to operate the event successfully

Support does not have to be financial. Businesses, organizations, and individuals may also contribute equipment, products, professional services, entertainment, volunteers, or other resources.

Whether you sponsor an attraction, provide food, loan equipment, volunteer your time, share a community resource, or introduce us to someone who can help your contribution matters.

Sponsor the Event

Help fund the equipment, attractions, food, entertainment, and resources needed to serve the community. Sponsorship recognition opportunities are available.

Donate Goods or Services

Provide grills, tents, tables, chairs, food, beverages, supplies, equipment, printing, transportation, entertainment, photography, security, or professional services.

Volunteer, Perform, Vend, or Partner

Volunteer during the event, become a vendor, provide entertainment, represent a nonprofit organization, share resources, or participate as a community partner.

You do not need to fit into a predetermined category to support this effort.

If you have an idea, resource, attraction, connection, or service that could make this experience more meaningful, please tell us. We are open to creative partnerships and new ways of working together.

The strongest community events are not built by one organization. They are built when people decide that serving families and investing in young people is worth doing together.
